And not just once. Several times a democrat worker knocked on my door. The Republicans called like crazy, sometimes 5 times a day. But not one knocked on my door. As much as I disagreed with the dems at my door, I salute them for showing up and shaking my hand and talking face to face.
The union tactic of going door to door works. You have to show up, press the flesh and ASK for their vote.

Ever notice how Democrat politicians fake the accent and mannerisms of whatever ethnic or racial group they talk to. Like Hillary Clinton’s speech at the NAACP convention, where she sounded like a cartoon version of an antebellum slave woman. It’s so incredibly transparent and obvious that it’s funny to watch, and yet it works. Can you imagine Mitt Romney getting away with that?

The reason it works is because ethnic voters, especially Hispanics, love being pandered to as long as the pandering is followed by a truckload of freebies, subsidies and preferences. The Democrats will always be better at that than Republicans because they are utterly shameless and unencumbered by quaint notions of Bourgeois morality or personal ethics.

But breaking the stranglehold the Dems have on Hispanics (mostly non-Cubans) requires not pandering, but a concerted appeal to shared values which are to the benefit of the entire Republic.
