US citizen doesn’t think public employees are “real” workers. It’s as if they don’t have families to feed and mortgages to pay. If they lose their jobs, they will have to go on unemployment and possibly welfare…which means we taxpayers will pick up the tab. And the local businesses where they and their families shop will lose revenue, thus hurting the entire economy. But the Rabid Right doesn’t care, as long as government continues to shrink so they can “drown it in the bathtub.”

if we built a wall on the border we may not have such a problem.
government is not efficient and therefore creates wasteful spending.

apparent that it spends more in other places rather than protecting our borders.

The sense of entitlement makes me sick. Many people don t make a dime of overtime pay and work more than the 35-40 hours week. Waa, waa. Sounds like you should go to work when the hubby ends his short day. Many people wihout gov t jobs do just that, waitress, stocking shelfs.

Andddddd another thing………as the article says…..this is not a cut in the budget…..it is a cut in new spending. So that should mean things actually will stay the same, since there are no REAL reductions. So who is pulling your leg on this one?

Ya know………everyone gets pay cuts, job lay offs, hours cut…….so why are you so special that just living life……does not apply to you? If you are in the 30% bracket, then you arent hurting THAT bad!!!

This govt MUST be cut back. It is out of control and too damned big. And it is MY taxes that are paying YOUR pay check! When you run out of “my kind”…..then what are you going to do?

Quite frankly……….Im tired of paying over paid govt employees with benefits that I dont get. Suck it up, like the rest of us.

You sound like a person who would not be affected by sequestration when some of us are, my husband works protecting our borders and he received a furloungh notice already, they are also cutting overtime pay which would reduce his salary by 45%, I don’t know how so many people think federal employees are being overpaid, in paper maybe but they have to realize the amount of taxes we pay and they are a lot…maybe 30% of our income or more..so do the math and we will barely have money to survive…we have a daughter who has health issues and I have to take care of her full time…and based on his salary we have mortgage, loans, credit cards that we can’t just stop paying…hope all the people out there won’t just talk out of their ignorance about sequestration…
