Just to get from Bakersfield to LA will cost the entire budget, I’m guessing. That route is gonna be like something from the movie ‘Bridge over the River Kwai’. 6 stories high, at least, going 200mph. Over the San Andreas fault line, among several other faults. That’s not an engineering marvel, that would be a miracle.
And the California condors are supposed to ignore those dead rabbits on the tracks? You’d have to gut the EPA to build this thing.
Did someone put some good laughing acid in the koolaid our leaders are drinking?

Go back when URS was awarded the contract. Guess whose husband was on the board of URS, give up? DiFi. This is the same senator who didn’t realise she was conflicted when voting on building contracts for DoD. The reason was her husbands firm. Because she was due to leave the committee it was decided “no harm, no foul”. The ignorance defense.
Our government is so warm and cozy, for some.
