I'd like to know the names of all those CA legislators who not only voted for but also those who voted against this ridiculous fire fee. Those that voted for this fee should all be re-called based on all the turmoil and subsequent court litigation they have caused in an effort to right their wrong. The fee is biased and unfair. I live in the unpopulated northeast corner of CA where property values are low as a result where is the equity with the values of land located in coastal Santa Barbara or rural Los Angeles County? What about people in Berkeley and the Oakland they don't pay this fee and they had one of the worst fires in the history of the state. How about San Francisco and the fires specifically in the Marina district as a result of the last major earthquake? Both the aforementioned fires resulted in tremendous mutual aid, yet neither of the residents of these area pay this fire fee. I purchased a tractor, a brushhog and other implements to keep vegetation down where I live and to add insult to injury I have to pay additional property tax on the tractor. Too many politicians don't think things through. This is straight up taxation without representation which was a fundamental driving force behind the revolutionary war when this country fought for its independence. I will say that I appreciate the tremendous efforts of Senator Ted Gaines and also effoert of Howard Jarvis. This is a totally unfair fee which amounts to nothing less than brazen extortion of a select group of rural property owners by unscrupulous CA legislators.

Ntheoc, the RAGWUS has been running their scam for 40 years now, it is a givin that most cities will be in BK in the next five years. Cities like HB have a large population of RAGWUS feeders, I live here and know that, but when Boeing leaves, along with the long list of other companies that are headed out, not even the vote on the continued pension tax will save the excessive pensions of the parisitic feeders from HB. :)

Went to home depot and picked up some paint, caulking, and lumber. There is a new line item on each item purchased for additional fees and taxes. Unbelievable. It's enough to light your hair on fire.
