Is there any truth to the rumor that the Koch brothers are seriously considering buying The Tribune Company? I pray it is so. The simultaneous head explosions would easily register a 4.0., probably centered somewhere around Brentwood.

A couple weeks ago, the LA City Council put forth a motion to voice its disapproval.......

"......Three Los Angeles City Council members — including mayoral candidate Eric Garcetti — asked their colleagues Tuesday to consider pulling city pension money from the investment firms that own the Los Angeles Times if they sell the publication to buyers who do not support “professional and objective journalism.”...."

A DOUBLE BONUS!.......First, the extortion. Then there's the implication The Times in its current form "supports professional and objective journalism.”

You really CAN'T make this stuff up.
