I don’t subscribe to ShadowStats, but I would imagine that it shows at least twice as much real inflation as what The Ministry of Truth CPI nonsense purports to show. That would reduce the value of everyone’s savings by twice as much as this study shows. Not that anyone in the Land Of The Lotus Eaters actually saves anything anyway. Only suckers save for tomorrow and live within their means now. The smart people spend everything they make, get underwater on their houses and rack up huge debts so they can get bailed out by the profligate Compassion Nazi’s who are running the system into the ground.

Crony Capitalist Stock market gains can vanish in an instant for us little people, as we saw in 2008-2009. This is mostly illusory, paper wealth based on the Federal Reserve bubble economy. Same with the new housing bubble. In my neighborhood behind the Orange Curtain housing prices are up 20% year over year and it is beginning to feel like 2006 all over again. Real Estate agents are crawling all over my neighborhood and the house flippers are back. I’m sure nothing could go wrong this time though. After all, The Dear Leader is in charge now, and he knows everything, except for all the stuff he doesn’t know about, like Benghazi, Fast and Furious, the IRS scandals, the Black Panther voter intimidation scandal, the HHS/Sibelius shakedown, Solyndra, the AP/Fox News scandal, the real cost of Obamacare, etc.

This is what the world looks like when a paradigm shift occurs and 2500 years of Western Civilization gets flushed down the toilet in a few generations. Prepare for the barbarian hordes and just hope you can get in on the Sack of Rome before the Obamanoids steal everything that isn’t nailed down. We are all Visigoths now.
