A 5th grade retort, very impressive.
I would take a look at the real situation we have right now. California government has poisoned the water with MTBE after being warned not to, California government has turned the most productive farmland in the world fallow to save a smelt, that alleged to being killed by water pumps. That too proved wrong. California government then caused the food and fiber to drastically rise in price. It regulated by fiat and without fact ranching, cows, pigs, cattle and poultry also causing great price increases. It deenergized the electrical supply as well as killing over 500, 000 birds a year. And of course while doing all this it destroyed the once 7th largest economy to currently 9th. To summarize, Air, Food, Water Energy and Jobs. However if gender trumps all this then I suppose there is much to be proud of. Be careful to not trust your lying eyes.

I think the honorable gentleman has quite a large campaign war chest. That could make him attractive to those with less but of the same dim ideas. A bank for the up and coming, so to speak.

"That is the Lockyer I’d like to see over the next 19 months: someone who is brutally honest about his party."

And can we see the same thing from you about the Republican Party? Can we get the honest admission that the reason the Republicans continue to be irrelevant in state politics is that they continue to adhere to the kind of anti-gay, anti-women's rights, anti-immigrant ideology that turns off the voters who determine the outcome of elections. Can we get you to admit that merely changing the p.r. strategy of the party without changing to an ideology that will attract the moderates and independents they need to win elections is like putting lipstick on a pig?

I'm not holding my breath.
