And don’t even get me started on Dingell, John’s fellow Michigander. Does he really think he is doing right by the people in his district by shuffling through the halls of Congress for 57+ years? I think Scosica needs to go – not that he’s a bad manager by any means, but simply the franchise needs some new blood, a shakeup. And he’s only in his 14th season.

Mr Dingell…..have you no shame, sir?

To mention this is filthy, disgusting politics verging on criminality is obvious, and Katy has made an unassailable case.

For the moment let me digress slightly…..Ted was senator for FORTY SEVEN YEARS? I knew he was there a long time, and had I not known I would have guessed 35 or 40. But 47????

And this in a state that is supposedly one of the most “educated” in the land. Surely anyone with even half a brain would recognize that after 3 or 4 Senate terms, and likely less, you’re not getting any new ideas outta the guy. Even if you believed Ted was the best thing since sliced bread, maybe after 18 or 24 years you might want to let someone else take a crack.

But apparently that’s not the Democrat way. Of the 10 longest-served congresspeople in history…….ALL 10 ARE DEMOCRATS. (Teddy ranked 13th, BTW.)

How unsurprising.
