In 2035, if nothing is done, Social Security will be able to pay 75 percent of its benefits rather than 100 percent.

Only in John’s bizarro world does that mean Social Security “is about to go broke.” The Right has been spreading that “bankruptcy” myth as long as I’ve been alive. It ain’t happening.
