NTHEOC, you can spout idiot ideas and complete lies faster than Chuck Schumer can find a TV camera and a mic. You remind me of the famous Mark Twain aphorism – “A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is still putting on it’s shoes”. This observation applies to stupid ideas too.

To put this whole issue in perspective, ask a German from the former East Germany how government spying on its citizens works.

Here’s and example of the extent and scope of government spying:

1- Drones overhead,
2- Drones the size of humming birds peering through your windows,
3- Monitored phone calls and internet usage
4- Street cameras and microphones everywhere (the microphones are used to triangulate the location and origination of gun shots, etc.)

And coming soon, TVs and cable boxes with built in cameras and microphones.
Privacy is a thing of the past. They government can spy on you anywhere and anytime they want to and there’s nothing the non-tech savoy person can do about it.

Most of it can be easily thwarted by those with the know how.

I hear what your saying greg, and I like it!! Also, they could charge more depending on the type of vehicle. The money could go to transportation,road, and highway projects along with decent pay and benefits for the workers!!! Wow, so many creative minds around…….

It wouldn’t be hard to immobilize those plates. Large magnets would erase their memory. Painting lead paint of the rear would probably play havoc on the system, too. I’m sure this would be a way for the DMV to charge you by the mile or peak time driving. My plates would be useless to them before I would install them.

The gov already has “License Plate Recognition Cameras” all over the state, they are set up at BOTH ICE/Border Patrol checkpoints on the San Diego/OC County lines, Temecula and San Clemente, who knows how long they store that information, they also have video cameras at both check points……so every time you drive through those two check points your car and mug are registered with Big Brother.
