Butzlaff balked, “I respectfully decline to provide a written response on the issues of transparency and ethics you raise especially when it appears by the tone of your questions that you have already formed an opinion as to what you perceive the City has done wrong without the benefit of my response.”

So, from that response, we can correctly conclud that <strike>Butts Laugh</strike> Butzlaff's up to dishonest dealing, but too wimpy a coward to stand firm— after all, an honest man finds misconceptions on his character a stain and will therefore rush to correct the record --- at least until such effort proves vain due to the misconception proving to be actually an attempt at smear. Mr. Butt'sLaugh doesn't even attempt such correction. Moreover, b/c everyone measures a new contact by one's own foibles, we're graced w/even deeper insight. This fellow is, from his actions, a mediocre, dishonest, common garden-variety dull-wit Progressive --- and therefore a danger to all humanity within his immediate area.

And, when I was young (1950s), the response to that red herring he threw out was fairly standard, and went somewhat like this: "Perhaps that's true --- but not intentionally! Assuming I have w/o realizing it, set me straight! I really want to understand your reasoning here!"

That puts the odor of unreasonableness back on him if he continues his contrarian attitude.
