If you fish….the place is desert extreme sith a 3.5 mile wade or drift boat premier river section…an oasis in HELL!

Never been south much….what I have seen is Routee 66 deferred ugly…..everywhere.

Brickbat throwing aside for the moment……what part of New Mexico did you visit? I had heard that southern and eastern New Mexico were S-holes, but Albuquerque to Santa Fe region was reasonably nice. (I drove thru on I-40 a couple times and also went from Santa Fe up to Durango, but it was a long time ago).

Spent two weeks in New Mexico…cheap gas but the whole state looks like a zoning nightmare ala trah heap motif! It is extremely hot in summer. Property in the few decent areas is not affordable….write this state off!
