Supposedly, there is interest in buying it up for pennies on the dollar once the air is cleared on bonds, assets, pensions, creditors.
I did read Canada, China and other Asians. Who knows?

I don’t think those kids in Detroit are any dumber than me. Just how much money do the teachers there make, seeing that they basically had a %100 failure rate. Their city looks as if a nuclear bomb hit it. This is the same school unions that are responsible for Rachael Jeantel, 19 and illiterate. And carrying a 3.0 average, she says.
This is the reason I left the demoncratic party. Their policies are genocide to blacks ( the murder rate in Detroit has just reached their highest level yet).

I say sell Detroit to Dubai and let the arabs run it. Dubai couldn’t mess it up any more than it already is. Detroit is a total disaster area. It has been for as long, long time. The liberals just ran it into the ground. What percent of that city is on public assistance? Does anyone know? Now it’s beyond the point of no return. Obama wants to bail it out with federal dollars. What a mistake that would be! It would solve nothing. It would only reward failure and perpetuate a disaster zone in real time. And what are we talking about here? $18B? And how many more cities will line up with their hands out when their time comes due? Oh, and their time will come due. It’s only a matter of when. IMO let it all collapse. That is the only way we will turn things around in the long run.
