Another “brilliant” observation from Captain Queeg. I’m sure he knows that for almost all of the past three decades, the “corrupt backwater” has been controlled by REPUBLICANS. Filner was just elected Mayor in November. Even a “liberal” couldn’t possibly inflict the kind of “damage” Queeg rants about in just six months.

I wonder if Filner has consulted w/ Roger Hedgecock about his dilemma? If forced from politics maybe he has a future in talk radio? Heck, John & Ken are getting a little long in the tooth. If Filner worked on his rants and potty talk he might be able to reinvent himself into a brand new career. Or maybe he could get a gig as a spot reporter or commentator on cable TV. They are always looking for fresh rating boosters.

San Diego is a corrupt backwater filled with public school dropout service workers and dumb voters….Detroitesque death wishes…seedy overpriced tourist hotels…crappy streets….horrible freeway ingress/egress roads….shockingly overpriced, run down old housing stock.

The majority of San Diego voters elected Mayor Filner, just like the majority of American voters elected President Obama twice. Funny how the Right only believes in democracy when their candidate wins.

Blaming “liberals” for Filner is like blaming “conservatives” for Duke Cunningham.

Ah. Come on. Look at those innocent eyes. Cut him a break. Maybe God equipped him with a horndog gene. In that case, Bob could be perceived as a victim. It’s a perfect opportunity for the democrat party to play the victim card. In fact, I’m surprised it hasn’t happened already. Maybe Kamala Harris could intervene on his behalf.
