The use of shared tracks on the Peninsula, limits High Speed Trainsets from being able to run up to 12 trains per hour (each way) to  2 or at most 3 trains per hour.  So not only are the travel times dramatically lengthened (think now of 3 hr 30 minutes ) but the number of possible riders is heavily reduced.

The promised 117,000,000 passengers per year will be reduced to one-fourth that amount, maybe 25 to 30 million passengers per year.  Less passengers, less revenue, more need for ever greater subsidy to operative the system (any subsidy is illegal under Prop 1A).]]></description>
