It means Levison was served with a court order that required him to either provide or at least preserve some type of digital information in his custody as a business record. Rather than comply with the lawful order of the court, Levison appears to have shut down his business and possibly destroyed his records to avoid his legal obligation under the court order.

If that is what in fact happened, Levison appears to have willfully destroyed evidence in his custody and should be held to account for his actions.
