In my comment, I didn’t say you were on the specific list mentioned in the article, only that you had one of the “top jobs.” In any case, doesn’t federal law mandate gender equality for contractors, too? You guys — and gals — have passed so many laws I can’t keep up with them.

Notice that I’m not on the list John. It’s because I’m not an Assembly employee, just a part-time, temporary contractor. The Speaker’s two previous full-time communications directors were women.

Given that 53 percent of Californians are women, by law they should have 53 percent of these top jobs. Democrats, especially, should be working for equality. Steven Maviglio, in particular, should step aside so that a woman can take his place and advance equality.
