This story is misleading. The MWA doesn't need Cadiz, Inc. to blend northern California water with Colorado River water for them; but Cadiz, Inc. does need northern California water to dilute their Cadiz water which is overloaded with hexavalent chromium, a carcingogen, that is hundreds of times greater than the state's public health goal for drinking water. Talking salt is only to distract from the real problem.
