Keith Weber Watched the Convention Center Rah Rah Guy last week on the news... Could NOT believe what was coming out of his mouth... Tremendous draw for SactoLand? SactoLand as Destination City? Hotel Rooms filling up almost every night? So much Profit spreading around that businesses are opening everywhere downtown? And in my head is being replayed the absolute truth of the La La Land that we currently reside in... Unemployment AND underemployment still climbing. The last portions of tens of thousands of businesses still (now uselessly) hanging on for dear life in hopes of recovering at least half of what they were worth 6 years ago (so they can then exit stage right and get a new start somewhere else). And the City and County RAISES PRICES on their "valuable services" that few of us want to pay for any more, nor do we need. The same "services" that we could get done by the private sector at a fraction of the cost. Yeah! Still... the only good thing about downtown is the cheap sweet cologne being misted into the air over the stinking truth of corruption and economic devastation... (Now... if you are connected... well, that's an entirely different part of the pasture...)

I don't understand this. The current NBA arena rarely has a packed house for games and the majority of their extra curricular income comes from concerts, or they used to have Women of Faith conferences which were highly attended. So why the need for a new arena except to line some politician's pockets. The convention center is fine just the way it is, too. Their marketing strategies need to be changed to draw more people to Sacramento, not build it out and sock it to the taxpayers. If they (both the arena and convention) center can prove to the people that the facilities are truly outgrown, then look for private investors to build out. Don't continue to place the burden on the taxpayers - I can't afford any more taxes! And as far as the Sacramento BS is concerned, I get more relevant and up-to-date information from the internet, and I can find unbiased, truthful information. I don't subscribe and never will.

It's the city's version of "Pravda" with no offense to Pravda. Funny how the media types are in and out of government jobs like a revolving door. Didn't your most ardent admirer have a state job before she became a troll? Although I did read that there are people on government payroll that their sole purpose is to "troll" social media.
