They all see this tar baby miles from the law that authorized it and it is bound to be overturned. The law says it MUST have private funds, it must travel between SF and LA in a certain time span ( the plan on the table can’t get the train there in twice the time), and must have the enviornmental lawsuits taken care of. There is zero chance of any of the above things getting done. The law is clear. They would have to have a ‘judge Roberts’ basically rewrite the law.
