Just like the republicans did back in 2009 when 6 state republicans who signed no new tax pledges betrayed their Party and constituents. But back then we learned the truth. Former Anthony Adams (one of the traitors) told us during a radio interview that the republican leaders handpicked the republican senators and assemblymen/women who would vote for the tax increase. Those who were termed out and could be sacrificed without causing undue damage to the party.

Not much difference between republicans and democrats these days. Only when the cameras are rolling. Otherwise it’s one big love fest.

Gasp! A Republican dared cross party lines to work with Democrats in the best interests of our state. Get the torches! Build the scaffold! Hang the traitor!

If the recent government shutdown fiasco didn’t prove that people WANT their legislators to work together to solve problems, don’t know what else it will take.
