This stuff is brain dead boring but profoundly important. This is where the internet shines. This stuff would never be printed on paper. The price you pay for everything depends on the energy used. And failing to have enough energy sources means another round of blackouts and high prices. I absolutely support solar, where it is plausible. I have helped installed solar radio repeating stations on mountain tops for the Forest Service. Windmills in the midwest are being replaced by solar powered pumps. But these gigantic solar farms don't seem efficient. The huge windmills slaughter the eagles and are inefficient too. The whole CARB marketplace is lost on me. Just what are they buying and selling, air? It appears to be just another tax.
Great article.
