Obamacare is the largest IT failure in the history of the planet earth times a million. They had 3 and a half years to get this puppy up and running and couldn't come close. They gave a no bid contract to a firm that got fired for screwing up their job in Canada. Kali-care isn't that bad of a website except that they have to connect to the national Obamacare programs for many tasks. We only had to look to Kalifornia's debacles in trying to put up govt computer programs to see that there could be problems. And this is Kalifornia, the home of silicon valley, the greatest concentration of computer minds on the planet.

One of the biggest "glitches" is the fact that people are being encouraged to contact their County's Department of Health and Human Services (the welfare department). First of all your local welfare department is not known for giving adequate customer service to their clients they currently have and in fact are known to be typical government bureaucrats and thus unhelpful. Second is the fact that many of these Departments have gone to "Call Center" formats and so each time you call you get someone different who very likely give you different answers.
Add to that that costs are going way up for coverage and once the federal subsidies end the whole "Covered California" system will collapse and cause yet another budget crisis.
They call it "Covered California" because it once California collapses under its weight, it will need to be covered up by more taxes and some yet to be named scam to fix the problems it caused.
