Not even mothers-in-law or fear of shoveling snow can keep them in the place they love. He said the primary reasons for emigration are the cost of living/cost of doing business/hassle of doing business and taxes. I know that last year I had to file in Cali, even though I don’t live there anymore, and my Cali return in pages (yes I send in paper returns) was longer than my federal return, and I had to attach a full copy of my federal return…..Us emigres are not ‘doomers’, we’re frogs jumping out of the near boiling pot…..
