(Consider the FEC is so “vital” to our Republic’s functioning that it didn’t even EXIST until 35 years ago). I charitably describe both as “Euro-style social democrats”. Let’s just say we talk about lots of sports and weather at Thanksgiving.

I’ve met some of the people they work with. As partisan as the day is long. Were anyone in the FEC to publicly admit to being a Republican they would probably be treated worse than Milton in Office Space.

Lastly: Can you name the most famous former FEC staffer who has been in the news lately?
