I hope that the ALRB provides an outside neutral party to overview the election and ballot counting process and not allow anyone from Silas Shawver camp be involved. Any hint of tampering which the UFW could resort too, may escalate this situation to a level that there maybe some bloodshed. In order for the ALRB to regain its creditibility it needs to remove Silas Shawver as the regional director. If the ALRB does not act in this manner, then the farming community needs to come together to pressure politicians and the Governor to clean house. Silvia Lopez is a true American Patriot and with all the political injustice that is occuring in the country today we the people should look up to her and all of the Gerawan workers who had the tenacity and perserverance to fight for their believes and rights. They are true Americans. With this ALRB decision which was long over due, Silvia Lopez and all of the Gerawan workers who fought for this election sent a message to the UFW: You may have political puppets that you buy by contributing to their re-election campaigns, but We the workers have something more powerful, our voice and unification, and are now telling the UFW and the ALRB, SI SE PUEDE!

UFW knows that will lose at Gerawan. It is obvious on all aspects. Silas Shawver is UFW’s only savior. He must go. He is unethical regional director with a duty a single duty to protect the workers. Silas must resign and the workers should ask for his resignation.
