The real problem is that there are way, way too many employees of the state (and local governments too). When are us proles going to wake up to that? It would be far, far better to “privatize” most state employment to private contracts. We would save a bundle and get, through competition, better results. If they don’t produce, they’re fired and someone else is hired. Isn’t that sooooo much better that the public employees unions that are essentially exempt from firing?

Read this book on the Revolutionary War about motivations of colonists. 1/3 for revolution and resulting mayhem, 1/ 3 for just pay the king taxes and move on, 1/3 we can make money either way being a “moderate”.
