We never had free market for electricity and the so called "deregulation" was perverted by the state government and re-regulated into a monster mess that cost Californians billions of dollars. Do they utility companies in California want true deregulation? The answer is NO. They don't want to have anyone challenging their energy monopoly kingdoms!

What CalWatchdog and Californians need to do is force the state government out of the energy market and let the free market dictate the price of energy. We need to deregulate the power grid without the government having their hands in it. Government's purpose is to act as a referee only.
