Bill Buppert says it very well over on ZeroGov: " The police in the US commit acts of murder all the time hiding behind the skirts of their true employers, the rulers, and have a license to kill enforced by the “qualified immunity” clause and the powerful government police unions.

All government laws require a field expedient death penalty imposed upon any who dare resist depending on the level of refusal to comply with the statist badged employees wielding a set of rules of engagement that make them judge, jury and executioner. In most cases they get away with it.

Remember that murder begins when self-defense ends, use that yardstick the next time you examine yet another citizen killing by the usual suspect in the thin black and blue line."

So from the police point of view, a relationship with the taxpayer based on fear is best. No chit chat, no observation of social niceties, everything in black and white. The problem is that this is not sustainable over the long run, and it will create tensions that build up like environmental toxins until, in an episode of 'punctuated equilibrium', the fear turns to hate and the human herd turns and tramples the 'authorities'. We far outnumber them, and they know it.

Even a cursory examination of history shows enforcers/minders/cops torn to shreds by mobs, decapitated, etc.

Community policing is really the only way. Officer Friendly shooting hoops down at the PAL, looking out for the single mom with an at-risk teenager, etc. A good priest/role model who rarely, if ever, needs to use force, and won't use force even if he/she feels 'threatened'. Admittedly, it takes a very special kind of person to live up to this ideal, but given the people who line up in the hundreds to take the exam, drawn by the 20 year retirement and benefits, it shouldn't be that hard to get only the best, and screen out the psychos, right?

Ntheoc, that you would even entertain the thought that two men should have the power to murder a small woman is all that is needed to know your lack of mettle.

Doug Zerby was a Soviet Union type murder!! :)

The only job around where you can shoot and kill another human and get a paid vacation for it. The other human doesn't even have to be armed. That's not a requirement. The litmus test is: Did he have his hand on his waistband and did you fear for your life? lol. If you answer those 2 questions correctly it's 30 days paid vacation, provided there's no videotape.

What is that you sovereign citizens do to police officers that make them treat you the way you describe? The encounters I and my family have had for minor traffic violations have been nothing but professional. A recent family member had a burgler alarm sound in the middle of the night and she said the police were amazing with her and her family. As for Ashley McDonald, She had stabbed her own mother and then in a drug fueled rampage committed what appeared to be suicide by cop. A very unfortunate event but I believe the mother should have been charged and where was the dad? Ashley had committed suicide for some reason and it probably started at home. The people who called 911 on Doug zerby should be charged with making a false 911 call and telling dispatchers somebody was outside the house holding a gun!! Why didn't they investigate it themselves before calling the cops? Oh, the guy had a gun huh? Well that's what they told the dispatchers, another unfortunate event. The best way to handlle yourself with a police officer is don't run, pull over, listen to what they tell you, be polite, do not pull out a weapon or drop the one you have when told, really just common sense stuff.

No, I haven't. But there are so many documented reports of blatant police abuse without consequences that it's obvious to me it's being promoted from above which, of course, is another sign of a police state. When an abuser goes unpunished the message is loud and clear: Continue abusing.

I recall during the hunt for Dorner when that band of rogue LAPD cops just riddled a car occupied by 2 female newspaper deliverers in Torrance. There must have been 100 bullet holes in the back of that car which was a completely different make, model and color than the one Dorner had. And it's pretty hard to mistake 2 petite asian women with a black guy who weighed 250 pounds or more. Although one of the woman was shot in the back, both miraculously survived. The cops also riddled neighboring homes with stray bullets putting the residents in grave peril. I read that the taxpayers were forced to pay those 2 women $4M in a settlement! None of the cops were charged and no doubt are back out on the streets today. No report of any firings. The complicit media did a great job at sweeping it all under the carpet after the fact with no follow-up.

I've read similar stories just as repulsive that happen all the time across the country. The cops do it because they're allowed to do it and get away with it without personal repercussion. It's obvious to me it's promoted from above. Another big red flag indicating 'police state'.

Never trust the police, ever. They don't work for you and they most certainly are not "public servants". They are the masters and we are the servants. And if you really object to being enslaved absolutely do not vote for any candidate for public office who belongs to either major party. Both parties are completely owned by police unions and police chiefs lobby groups.
