California’s annoying warmth and sunshine

[1]I have a tendency to work straight through the day from when I get up at 7 am. Fortunately, I have a dog who insists on being taken out so I walk every few hours wearing a t-shirt and shorts.

But I just had another interruption: It’s 82 degrees outside here in Huntington Beach and the sun is blazing in through my window onto my computer screen, so I was forced to break my concentration, get up, and close the blinds.

Nearby is a picture I just took from my balcony, about 2:15 pm the day after Christmas.

Life here can be difficult.
