Only a city with an inferiority complex like Sacramento, would think the Downtown Arena Plan is a good deal.

The stadium scam has happened in nearly every major city in America, not just SacTown.

Al Davis started it with the Oakland Raiders back in 1982, once he was successful in blackmailing the Oakland County coliseum, and the NFL saw the $$ in the scam, it spread to every major league sports venue in America. Even Green Bay where the football team is publicly owned by the community fell for the scam. The Rangers and Cowboys BOTH were able to get the regressive sales tax raised to pay for the billionaire owners stadiums. It is one of the biggest scams going in America today.

In reply to ally Cat. Sacramento officials have always had a bad case of big-city envy. It comes from officials' embarrassment at national meetings for city councils and city managers. I wish instead Sacramento voters found the members of the city council and city manager embarrassing, and then did something about it.

This kind of stuff is happening all over the country. Cal, Berkley is short of the funds to refurbish the football stadium already completed.
Mayor Johnson should wear a toga, this is all so sad. Idiots watching imbeciles swagger, paying for tickets, taxes, and fees to finance the monuments to tongue wagging ignorance.
