I see Uhaul is on his happy drugs again! Or off his other meds - hard to tell.
I was beginning to think this wasn't the most corrupt state, what with recent and prior happenings in Illinois, NJ, NY, and others. Now I'm sure we're right up there with the best of the rotten.

I stopped subscribing to the local paper several years ago. I was a long-time subscriber. I wrote the editor a letter and told him specifically why he lost my business. Naturally, no reply. lol. They don't care. The poor sales kid who made follow up calls to regain my business sure got an earful though! lol. My decision had nothing to do with the internet, although newpaper editors love to blame internet for the decline in print readership. As a young boy it was drilled into me to support my local newspaper. I was taught that the local paper was our last line of defense against tyranny. Naturally that was back in the good old days. The eras of the Upton Sinclair's, the Jack Anderson's, the IF Stone's, the Edward Murrow's, the Bob Woodward's, etc....real reporters who upheld an actual standard in journalism. Now we have stenographers and puppets owned by the gov and all the special interests keeping us current on all the latest news. lol. An insightful 6th grader laughs at the watered-down and limp-wristed questions the mainstream media asks the politicos and their cronies at their press conference. lol. As if they're afraid to offend someone. lol. Ask a hardball question and risk having your career lifeline severed.

Today's mainstream media tells us peasants only what they and their owners deem appropriate for our eyes and ears. Misrepresentations and gaping omissions are rampant. Look what Obama got away with when promoting ObamaCare. Look what the government is getting away with on the immigration reform (amnesty) issue. Look at the Benghazi coverup. The whitewashings of Fast and Furious and the IRS scandal. Bankers collectively laundering trillions of narco-dollars for the cartels with not one of them prosecuted for it. Wall Street dudes like Corzine not being legally held to account for the mysterious disappearance of over a billion dollars of so-called secured customer accounts. lol. Cops shooting innocent newspaper deliverers in the back then keeping their jobs while the taxpayer is forced to shell out $4M to the victims. lol. No follow-up from the media. Dead silence. lol. On to the next scandal. lol.

So I gave up on US newpapers. I get my news from the foreign press now. They tell me what's going on in my own country.

Every high level RAGWUS player is dishonest and has no conscience when it comes to stealing from the public. I haven't trusted any story written by a LATimes reporter in the last twenty years, all that paper does is espouse the RAGWUS playbook of steal from the taxpayers so the unions can get raises!! :)
