You are so naïve, LIC! My spouse had to compete with illegals for a construction job in the early 80's, and they weren't even amnestied--his union pension was frozen in 1986, never to see another added penny, due to those illegals. Most of the 11 million illegals here now are not amnestied--because the American people invited them in for the cheap labor. We have met the enemy, and it is us! Stop complaining now, and get to work on how to get these "guests" legalized so that they can be assimilated into the melting pot of America.

What mail fraud statutes, would be violated by that practice, LORL?

As far as I know, one can deliver a mail ballot, in person, without having to pay the postage. A courier for the school could deliver all in a bundle to the office of the State Registrar. That said, I do not support downgrading the voting age from 18 to 16. I was not allowed to cast my first vote until I was 21. I did not suffer while waiting for the privilege--just anticipated it. Medical research now tells us that the human brain does not stop growing until the age of 25. Maybe we should go back to the former rules.

“Senate Bill 240 ensures that young voters’ voices are heard at the ballot box by allowing University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) students to drop off their vote by mail ballots on campus. While in college, many students will be voting for the first time. Together with online voter registration, students can effortlessly register or re-register to vote with their new address, request a vote by mail ballot, and drop off the completed ballot on campus.” - Drop boxes to bypass Federal Mail Fraud statutes, nice.

Wait until these naive kids come out of college with a $50,000-$75,000 student debt and have to compete with amnestied illegals for a lousy $12/hr shovel-ready job. lol.

Wait until these naive kids figure out that their generation is burdened with a $20-$25 trillion dollar national debt that the dems generated with repeated deficit spending and debt ceiling increases. lol.

Wait until these naive kids figure out that 40% of their gross earnings are eaten up in taxes when it lands in their direct deposit account. lol.

You are going to see the average age of a conservative drop precipitously in the next 20 years.

How interesting that the Ford Foundation gave a series of grants in 2011 to engage youth in civic involvement--"voting registration"--including grants to Tides Center/San Francisco ($300,000) and Voto Latino/Washington DC ($375,000). Another foundation, The California Endowment made similar grants: Center on Race Poverty & the Environment/San Francisco ($159,497 and $167,888), CAUSE/Ventura ($49,795 and $65,000), Communities for a Better Environment ($10,000), Communities for a New California Education Fund/Sacramento ($151,681), GreenAction for Health and Environmental Justice/San Francisco ($180,000), RYSE Inc./Richmond ($315,685), and Tides Center/San Francisco ($150,000 and $175,000). Legislation just spontaneously follows, I suppose...
