If you live in the Bay Area you realize from weather reports that the region around Santa Rosa gets a LOT of rain (usually). That area should be a patchwork of reservoirs.
What is so wrong with a water reservoir? Most of the Bay Area was underwater in the ancient past. I have no doubt that the soil under Hetch Hetchy is very fertile thanks to the sediment that collects from the Sierra runoff.
The environmentalists are supported by the eiltes who use them to alter development policy. California has gone backwards for twenty years. Forget Washington, Sacramento needs an enema.
