I was a Dodger fan since their Brooklyn days–I was 10–I lived in WY. I moved to CA one year before the Brooklyn Dodgers came to LA–I was ecstatic when they followed me! I won’t bore you with all the details of my life as a Dodger fan–but it was fun, and I was never happier than when I was sitting in Dodger stadium, Left Field Loge. All that is in the past now–I cannot afford the tickets. Yes, LIC, it is an insult–the insults began when major league Baseball allowed Frank whatshisname to buy the team for less than 450 million–money he borrowed–and a bigger insult when the new group paid him one billion plus and didn’t even get the whole parking lot!

A lousy infield loge seat went from $26 to $40 or $2132 to $3280 a season!

I haven’t attended a pro anything game in decades. Why? Because I remember the 1982 NFL strike, when about half the games were cancelled because the spoiled millionaire brats wanted more money. That was it for me. Then MLB, NBA and pro hockey followed suit. So I rarely even watch a pro game anymore other than the Superbowl. I never watch the World Series. And I never watch the NBA playoffs. Ever. I love college FB and BB. But I just read that at Northwestern U. the FB players are forming a union to get more rights, which will eventually lead to financial contracts. Wait for it. These 19-23 YO punks aren’t satisfied with a free education and free room and board. They want it all. If the other colleges start this baloney I’ll just watch the high school kids play where it’s all about the competition and love for the sport itself. Not to get rich at it then demand more…more…more.

I even make a mental note not to buy products advertised on TV during the Superbowl. If I buy those products I buy the competitor’s product that doesn’t advertise. Oh sure. The commercials are creative and funny, but by advertising on a pro sports venue they just lost my business. Sorry.

Pro sports teams are acting like the Too Big To Fails. The owners don’t want to risk their money on a new business venture like a stadium. They want YOU the TAXPAYER to pay for it!!! lol. And many of you voluntarily open your wallets and give them what they want without protest. And then you wonder why there’s no beer money left over at the end of the month! lol.

Look what the Kings are doing to the peasants in Sacramento! Look what the Angels are doing to the peasants in Anaheim! The owners and the pols are in an incestuous relationship and you’re the ones who get bent over. If you go to their games you asked for it!!! lol.
