You have the mind of Jonestown cult member TCS. The date is not set in stone it is the actions of the RAGWUS and its members that has sealed the fate of Calpers. Know this, as the $100,000 pensions continue to increase from 100,000 members to 1,000,000 members your $280 billion will become a joke, and a footenote in history. :)

SkippingDog says: There’s a reason even their “fellow officers” in law enforcement regularly refer to the CHP as little more than “Triple A with Guns” or “CalTRans Security.”
=========================
I do hear this alot about the CHP but I have to to say, I have been pulled over twice in the last 5 years both times on the fwy and the CHP officers both times showed me (PROFESSIONAL COURTESY) and no ticket was given. Guess I just ran into them on a good day.

This issue has already been resolved between the CHP and the local fire depts in the chula vista area. I'm not sure if the CHP officer at the time understood the reasons why we park the fire apparatus in the ways we do but he does now. At an accident scene we will always park in a way as to protect the patients and first responders and this usually requires the blocking of one or more lanes to do so. I'm not sure about the CHP officers in chula vista but we get along great with the CHP along the 22/405/55/91 areas. A dallas firefighter was just killed 2 days ago while he was on scene of a fwy accident by a speeding vehicle that struck him throwing him off the overpass, So there should be no question about how we park!!

I'll take the CHP over any city or county LE agency, but the FF was correct in this matter. Traffic can wait over safety! :)
