Ever heard of “The Huns Are Coming”?

The little people are marshaling forces to firmly liberate San Diego from the grips of globalists.

Look at all those hotel workers on food stamps and welfare.

All that tourist money getting sucked into fat cat wallets while service workers suffer in terrible living conditions.

It’s more likely that the lesson is voters had Filner fatigue and Faulconer was seen as a safely vanilla, moderate Republican business candidate who would be a fine caretaker mayor for the next three years. In the meantime, Council member and acting mayor Todd Gloria will have plenty of time to raise campaign money and further cement his growing reputation as a formidable political leader for the majority of San Diego voters who remain Democrats.
