Good points--
The party will never grow substantialy when it is clear to the ever growing populations of minority and working poor and middle class and women that this brand is against them.

Republicans will have to live much longer out of real power until they are willing to learn. To use a Peter Senge quote-- The GOP is not a "learning organization".

Discuss--

"That said, you also have some reporting issues."

Indeed you do. Donnelly spoke on behalf of the Log Cabin Republicans' charter efforts to party leaders. Donnelly's sponsorship of the "Preservation of Liberty" law and the "Audit the CPS" law, and his work to defeat SCA5, has done more to grow the party than Kashkari's well-intentioned speeches.

Leaders lead and Donnelly is already growing the Republican tent

You've got some editing problems as you've duplicated paragraphs. That said, you also have some reporting issues. Party bosses may hop for Kashkari to win a spot in the top two slots for November haven't been paying attention to the grassroots growing effort of State Assemblyman Tim Donnelly who has been moving up and down the state for nearly a year. He may not be the money candidate, but he isn't the Whitman replacement (Kashkari) that the party feels can come into California and pull the wool over the eyes of those awakened voters and Tea Party supporters. This June election will tell, much like other contests in San Diego and Florida and elsewhere, WE THE PEOPLE have had enough of being dictated two. Kashkari has never been elected! He may have wall street influence raising a Million Bucks in his first week, a la Meg Whitman bankrolling a failed attempt; but he isn't on the same tune or link with the voters of California. This will be a contest in November between the four-time Governor Brown and the patriot Tim Donnelly. That will be a contest of options, a contest of liberal tax and spend policies versus a candidate who believes in the Constitution, will stand tall to protect the rights of ALL citizens, including LEGAL immigrants, and not be afraid to exercise his power to do the right thing. It won't be a boondoggle train project, it will be energy independence. It will be second amendment rights versus increased taxes. It will be less regulations on businesses and new jobs instead of the promised high speed rail and more jobs. In case anyone hasn't been paying attention, jobs (taxpayers) and businesses continue to depart California in record numbers. The ONLY growing employment sector is the government! Have you had enough? It is time to bring a true 'real deal' candidate to the forefront. TIM DONNELLY is that candidate.
