[1]Sens. Leland Yee, Ronald S. Calderon and Roderick Wright have been suspended by the state Senate. So they can’t keep voting on legislation, 99 percent of which is unneeded, expensive and wasteful.
But they’ll still get paid themselves, according to the L.A. Times[2]:
“The paid suspensions of Sens. Leland Yee, Ronald S. Calderon and Roderick Wright all but guarantee Democrats will not regain their supermajority in the Senate this session.”
Well, that’s something, I guess.
In the private sector, those accused of such wrongdoing would be suspended without pay.
Which is another reason to sharply reduce the government sector close to zero — then to zero.
