NO major private sector business will buy into this scam, they know better.

As for construction jobs, they will be$50K job that will cost taxpayers 41 million to provide. Just give them the money and save the other $950K.

What he fails to mention is that the high speed rail authority has signed public labor agreements requiring that the contractors use union labor on the project. This has two major effects, one that only union members can work on the project and two, that labor costs will be much higher than if the projects allowed open bidding with non union labor. It further means that the fairy tale of local workers walking up and getting construction jobs is a pipe dream. The entire project is intended to be payback for unions who provide campaign funds and volunteers to elect Democrat politicians in Sacramento.
