Californians are going to be paying higher electricity bills as a consequence unless their local utilities can outfox the rules.

The little people will always take it in the shorts while Algore makes billions of cap-n-tax and he and people like Ahnode live in mansions, own fleets of gas guzzlers and fly around the world in private jets while making the little people decrease their "carbon footprint."

HAHA I love it! Obviously cap and trade has NOTHING to do with 'protecting the environment' and EVERYTHING to do with 1) looting the ratepayers for the banksters and 2) ultimately destroying the utility infrastructure and lowering the standard of living to 3rd world (think Nigeria) or less (think Afghanistan).

Obama himself said energy costs will "necesarily skyrocket". Thaks Mr. President. Nothing like a 'skyrocket'….

The irony of the EPA's CO2 rules is the low carbon emission power it imports from other states will have more value in the states that generate that power going forward. Consider that Washington state has to cut its CO2 emissions by nearly 60% so will likely tap the Columbia river power to a greater degree, cutting this cheap source of power that norther CA relies on. NV and AZ will likely be shuffling the paperwork as well to consume more of their domestically generated renewables, driving up prices for CA which has very high renewable mandates. Rate payers in CA will pay dearly for the EPA rules even though they supposedly have a head start on everyone else.
