Exposing faux environmentalist hypocrisy is good, but fossil fuels are still finite, so it's not an A vs. B (or us vs. them) scenario. Every new energy project destroys nature bit by bit. Wind turbines will give us an uglier planet and won't stop global warming or really reduce fossil fuel use. They are intermittent, inefficient "fossil fuel extenders" at best. Rooftop solar is a lot greener due to it's minimal footprint but the laws of physics limit its usefulness for reliable, bulk energy needs.

The human population is just too large to be sustained at modern comfort levels without fossil fuels (especially oil) and the economy is predicated on unsustainable growth. It's a bleak situation where nature will keep getting pillaged and people chasing money will keep making rationalizations for it.
