All things being equal it stands to reason that the law of averages in any vote recount would not show any different result. Counting errors tend to be random and cancel out in no one's favor.
But we need to remember that Perez's only job outside government was as a union activist and lawyer. I'm pretty sure he knows the drill. Ballot boxes of uncounted votes will magically appear out of nowhere. Voting machines will be found with incorrect tallies. I would not be surprised to see a rerun of the type the corrupt Democrats tried to pull in Florida. The idea is to count and recount over and over. Never stop counting and demanding recounts until you finally win. Well, unless someone puts a stop to it like SCOTUS did in Florida.
That said it would be a nice thing to see this left wing union hack out of public office permanently. Congrats to Betty Yee..

When assessing a possible recount it is important to note that in Los Angeles County the ballots that would be the natural target have already been examined. Demonstrating commendable thoroughness, the LA County Registrar asked representatives from both the Perez and Yee campaigns to be present on June 20 and June 23 when each of the 2743 ballots that had been rejected countywide were examined one-by-one. The vast majority of ballots were rejected for obvious noncontroversial reasons – 992 were simply not registered to vote, 550 were AV envelopes that were empty, 161 provisional voters had also voted AV.

Of the 2743 ballots the lawyers for the Perez campaign challenged 47 ballots that had been rejected. A day later the county announced that they had accepted 24 of the Perez challenges. Then the County counted the 24 ballots plus 33 additional ballots that the County had been examining for signature issues.

The net result of the 57 new ballots was that Betty Yee picked up 13 new votes -- and John Perez picked up 9. The Perez campaign examined every rejected ballot in the county, spending thousands on lawyers, and lost 4 votes.
