Picture some skid at Subway, who decides that, since he has to wear gloves, why should he bother washing his hands after defecating.

Well, he doesn’t come out of the bathroom with his hands raised like a surgeon, with someone else putting on his gloves. He puts them on himself, getting fecal matter on the exterior that’s about to touch that slice of turkey he’s about to add to your sandwich.
