Never buy a new car, leave that to the firemen and their with all the free time. Reject consumer society. Business will only market to public employees and markets in other countries. Let the police apply for jobs in China. …Grow your own vegetables. Let the wags of the police shop at Whole Foods. Use barter at all times to avoid sales taxes. Do your own housework.
Dry up the sales taxes. The goal is to reduce sales tax proceeds 30 percent. Budget that.

You are the first person I’ve ever hear utter those words. Seriously, I’ve never had such a job, nor have I met anyone that has either, regardless of position, except for maybe high level management, but those guys get truckloads of cash no matter what. I’m thrilled when I break even over the course of 3-5 years. Back when jobs where plentiful in this state, the only way to get ahead was to change jobs. Now even that doesn’t work, as it usually results in a pay cut.
