To the taxi companies and other cry babies…….
The taxi industry cannot be considered small business.
If you expect some one else to limit your competition then you surely be under thier thumb.
If the taxi companies had been forward thinking and came up with similar apps instead of ( the people in charge ) sitting on thier butts and not thinking, we would not be having this conversation.
The tools have been out there for a long time. Why didn’t they use them?
And now they want to cry “Foul”.

Grow up…..the world is passing you by.

William Gacy or Ted Bundy would have loved these suspect livery operations….

Transportation and utilities have been regulated successfully for the “common good” …..historically….time immoral.

How can anyone find liberty/choice trumps public safety escapes me in a civilized society.

Guess I ask too much…..let the abductions begin-

That is exactly what Uber and Lyft want. They are mega-corporations valued in billions wanting lax regulation.

If small transportation businesses can (and are forced to) comply with
and pay all the dues, all the surcharges, all the taxes – why not
multibillion-dollar offshore corporations ?

Rules of the game must be equal for all and an IPhone app is not
an excuse to violate laws and evade taxes.
