All we here about these days is what a stunning success Obammiecare is.

Well, much of Obammiecare is to take effect after Obammie is out of office.

What has taken effect is a stunning failure and this proves it. This should be heard by every American.

And these are the gummit’s on numbers (Philly Fed), not some right wing think tank.

"Obamacare Manufacturing Facts: 85% of Firms Raise Premiums, 91% Raise Deductibles, 74% Raise Out of Pocket Maximum, 15% Decrease Employment

A special question on the impact of Obamacare on businesses in the August Philly Fed Manufacturing Survey shows the stunning failure of Obamacare"

There will be alternatives for the middle class: Save your money and pay cash for health care elsewhere — Mexico, Singapore, India. Time to make sure your passport is in order.

No need to, John. When the state breaks up and the new state of Seilerville is formed it will secede from the US and we will have a true free market in healthcare in Seilerville!

Don't be so sure private plans will be terribly expensive. Cosmetic medicine is rarely paid for via insurance or government programs. This constrains them by actual market forces. This type of medicine has not seen the huge price spikes of the last few decades as general medicine has. I've also read about concierge plans which started as boutique medicine for the wealthy but have morphed into health maintenance plans with private physicians or groups, often directed at small businesses. It is all cash based and you need a catastrophic insurance plan but it works for both the health providers and patients. It works because so much of the government and private health insurance payments are directed at hospitals and specialists, plus a substantial portion of the funds are used to make up for the uninsured and the discount the government gives itself for Medicaid and Medicare patients. Once these are gone, suddenly the cost of medical care becomes manageable again. For this reason, the fiasco that is the Veterans Administration and the botched launch of the ACA I have a feeling that voters are not going to be enthusiastic about turning the healthcare system completely over to the government with a single payer system.
