Back east in NY, many retirees move to FL for the winter, and establish residency in FL ’cause it hath NO income tax, while keeping their NY home to visit.

Guess what? NY Dept of Rev GOONS have been documented staking out the homes of these retirees in NY AND in FL, to make sure they are not in NY ONE DAY past the residency limit. If they are seen to be in NY more than 4 months, it is a ‘hellmouth’ opening up for these retirees……

A favorite State tax collector comes back years later on retirees with back taxes owed claims….similar letter types go out to heirs who are daff to machinations and business paperwork of the deceased.

Know of a few cases where stress was so great the threatening letter receivers took payment programs fearful of the collector……one that put a person into a stinking little apartment to cut their budget.

Crummy isn’t it…….so never retire and never die.
