Watching politics in California is like watching a Keystone cop movie where the cops get laughingly suckered by the crooks. The Republicans play right into the hands of the Democrats and then act bewildered over their declining membership and dwindling influence in state political affairs. Like I said, I can't believe GOP'ers are that stupid - so I have to assume it's all done willfully. If you ever notice, whenever there's a close vote on an important bill there's always a couple Republicans who will betray their principles and vote with the enemy while all the Democrats stand their ground. In fact, I have seen that happen several times. Yet I have NEVER seen a few Democrats stray from the party line and side with the Republicans to throw a vote in the favor of the state GOP. I have concluded that this is no coincidence. It is willful and intentional to sustain the one-party system.

The Republican leadership is full of idiots. Why are so many of them refusing to push back against illegal immigration? Many are actually jumping on board the amnesty bandwagon. It's a given that the illegals, once legalized, will become democrats at their first opportunity. The democrat membership in Cali will continue to grow while more conservatives, like me, flee the Republican Party for repeatedly betraying us on fundamental conservative principles like immigration, taxes, equality under the law, etc....

I'm convinced that we live under a one-party political system. I refuse to believe that seasoned politicians could be so stupid as to destroy their own political party by violating the very principles that brought them to power. I believe everything you see is willful.

One big happy family.
