Prop 47 has nothing to do with victimless crimes and possession of meth or heroin is not a wobbler. I suggest you read the penal codes. I listed them below for your reference.
Meth.....11377(a) H&S
Heroin/Cocaine...11350(a) H&S
In regards to possession of a date rape drug is not a victimless crime. Most people don't ingest date rape drugs for personal enjoyment and the lack of memory that follows. Also this bill lessons the charge for gun theft. People only steal guns for one reason. Crimes are committed by people of every social economic background. This is not a race or wealth issue this is a safety issue. A yes vote for 47 will create more AB109'er on our streets and neighborhoods. If do your research on how many re-offend you would see this system does not work! Also disguising this bill with a safer schools and neighborhoods propaganda is misguided at best!
There is a reason the CA Police Chiefs Association strongly opposes prop 47!!

I am sorry for the loss of your husband, I acknowledge there are evil people out there. Sometimes I can't help but feel we are creating them with our tough on drugs and zero tolerance policies. We are not talking about reducing murder, rape or robbery charges. We are talking about reducing victimless crime charges to misdemeanors. These are crimes that are currently wobblers and can be charged as a felony or misdemeanor. This proposition makes sense, especially if you break out the statistics and see the poorest and minorities get felonies, while city council or congress or rich kids get misdemeanors. This is about the rule of law where no one is above the law.
